Scuba is based in Romford, Essex and was born out of a love for the underwater
world. The aim of Abyss Scuba is to provide the very in best Scuba Diving

three pool sessions per week on Tuesday evenings at Hornchurch, Saturday
afternoons at Hornchurch and Sunday evenings at Loughton.
Abyss Scuba offers training from beginner, assisting individuals blowing their first bubbles underwater right up to advanced techincal diver training, Rebreathers and PADI Professional Courses. At Abyss Scuba student enjoyment and safety is paramount and no compromises will be made. We offer training with several different training agencies all to exacting standards.
Our courses include all study material crew packs, certification costs and standard air fills.

Training With Abyss Scuba
All beginner courses commence with swimming pool sessions where the individual
learns the skills that will develop them into scuba divers. Sessions can
be conducted once a week, daily or can be conducted over a two day period.
Self study in the form of knowledge reviews is the responsibility of each student and is conducted in between the confined pool sessions. Knowledge reviews are assessed with your instructor and small quizzes to ensure understanding are undertaken. Dont worry the Abyss Instructors will ensure your success in all stages of your training.
On completion of your pool sessions and self study you
will be ready to move into open water to complete your course. Our open
water sessions are invariably completed at Stoney Cove the UK's premier
Inland Dive Site. You will undertake four dives over two days demonstrating
your mastery of the skills learnt to your instructor.
Abyss Scuba uses the latest software from all of the training agencies to ensure student success.
Technical Diver Training With Abyss Scuba
At
Abyss Scuba we are lucky to count Danny Wright as a member of our Instructor
Team. Danny is our lead Technical Instructor and advisor.
Our Technical Training is second to none, we can offer
courses in extended range diving, advanced nitrox, decompression procedures,
trimix and advanced trimix gas diving. We use a number of varied locations
for our technical training from Inland Sites up to and including boat
dives to complete the training where required.
Our technical courses are competitvely priced and include all materials
required for you to successfully complete the course and earn the new
diver status that you have been studying for.
All our courses comply with UK Diving guidelines and we employ the use of shore support officers and where required safety divers.
Go Professional with PADI - The Way the World Learns to Dive
At
Abyss Scuba we can offer you the chance to begin your professional level
training with PADI, on the PADI Divemaster Course. Unlike many schools
we do not treat Divemasters as unpaid slaves or instructors servants.
We value our Divemasters and offer a structered programme in line with
PADI Standards that will develop your skills as a diver, as a role model
to students, and we will assist you in gaining Instructor level dive theory
knowledge.
We offer a 7 to 8 week programme that will develop each candidate to the required standard working alongside one of our instructors who will serve as your coach and mentor. You will have ample opportunity to work with our instructors training students in both confined and open water. Your instructor will assist you in developing your skills to demonstartion standards.
